Enjoyable Learning

One of the most important things to do with new students is to build a good relationship with them. In order to teach effectively, the student must be able to enjoy your company and respect you. There are a few ways to build that relationship. First, talk to them about non-school related subjects, let them teach you about their interest and share a little about your own life. Next, when teaching a lesson engage in educational activities with them and make it fun. Lastly, use their interest in your lessons and activities, this will show that you listened to them and made an effort to plan an activity with them in mind.
