Tips for Managing Back to School Stress
At Jill Abrams Tutoring Inc. we know that the beginning of the school year can be stressful for
students. Here are some helpful tips to make the transition from summer to school easier for
your student.
1. Time Management – Keeping track of assignments and tests can be difficult for students.
Using a planner or agenda makes organization and time management simple! Students can also
put reminders in their phones or Google calendar to keep track of upcoming tests and projects.
Being organized also helps your tutor to make the most of your session by knowing exactly
what assignments you have coming up.
2. Prepare the Night Before – Mornings during the school year are hectic. Your student can
make this time much easier by preparing the night before! Making sure all of your assignments
are packed and easily accessible will take a lot of the stress out of your students morning
routine.
3. Get Enough Sleep – According to the NSF school-aged children need 9-11 hours of sleep per
night. Getting proper rest will assure that you have the energy and clarity you need to have a
successful day of learning at school. Students should avoid using devices like phones and iPads
before bed to help them get a good night’s sleep.
4. Tutoring – At Jill Abram’s Tutoring we know that school is difficult for many students. Your
child doesn’t have to tackle their education alone! Our team of trained tutors can help students
with all subjects and equip them with the skills they need to excel.
