If you or someone you know has always struggled intensely with math concepts, number sense, and basic arithmetic, it might be more than just 'being bad at math.' Dyscalculia is a specific learning disability that affects these areas. Taking a Free Dyscalculia Test online can be a useful initial step. These screeners typically assess areas like number comparison, estimation, and mental math. While not a formal diagnosis, the results can indicate whether the difficulties experienced are consistent with signs of dyscalculia and if a professional psycho-educational assessment would be beneficial. It can help differentiate between a general dislike for math and a potential underlying learning difference that needs specific support strategies.
